Tom Lynch: Painting a Coastal View 1-Day Online Watercolor Workshop Instructor: Tom Lynch www.tomlynch.com Date: 1 Day workshop, Friday, August 26th from 10:30am-5:30pm
During this one-day workshop, students will paint along with Tom, learning the principles of focal point, value change, unity factors, and much more while creating a finished work of art. This format is great for those that want to learn in a step-by-step manner. You will receive a great foundation that you can apply to your future painting endeavors!
* The morning session you will paint 'with Tom' parts of the coastal scene below. Learn how to paint: mountains, rolling fields, water, trees, skies and clouds. Tom will demonstrate each part on separate sheets of paper, then allow you time to practice under his watchful eye.
* During lunch Tom will have a slideshow for you to watch.
* In the afternoon you will put all the parts together in a new effort and have a completed painting at the end of the day.
Students will be provided with the photo reference and preliminary sketch in order to accomplish a beautiful finished painting. (You can even use your own composition!) The focus of this class is to learn while doing, and Tom is a master teacher to help you accomplish that. The online format allows you the ability to see the recorded demos again, while you can pause, fast forward, screen shot, even simulcast on your smart TV. TOM has a 2-camera presentation that will show great close-ups, the palette, and painting demo.
