  • $180 is a package price is for RIWS members who sign up for all 6 classes before 1st class begins.

    Members who sign up after the 1st class has started, must first have permission from the instructor to sign up, and the class fee will be $30 per class. (The pkg price will no longer apply).

Using Your Intuition in Watercolor
Instructor: Evelyn Bernal
Date and Time: Fridays, August 16th - September 20th, 10am -1pm
Location: RIWS Classroom

Class Description: 

In this class we will use our intuitions to guide the creative process and make unique compositions. We will blend subject matter using wet on wet techniques to create pieces with a narrative, or that go beyond your typical landscape or still life and surprise and intrigue the viewer. There will be a focus on astronomy and adding stars and planets to your pieces. 

Definition: Wet on wet painting is wet paint applied onto wet paint, so that the colors will spread into one another producing soft edges and blending.
