Rendering Architecture in the Landscape with Watercolor

Description: Learn tips, techniques and strategies to effectively paint architectural subjects in their natural surroundings. Choose to work from your own picture, or as an option, paint along with Richard Denzer as he executes a watercolor of a charming Martha’s Vineyard home (see the last image below). The instructor provides individual coaching throughout the workshop. To make the most of class time, it is encouraged to complete a light pencil drawing on paper beforehand.
Recommended Materials: Bring your own or consider the following. Paper: Arches Cold Press 9 x 12” Watercolor Block. Paint: Winsor Newton or Daniel Smith tubes: Burnt Sienna, Raw Sienna, Hookers Green, Sepia, Raw Umber, Burnt Umber, Cerulean Blue, Payne’s Grey, Brown Madder Alizarin. Brushes: Princeton Heritage #16, #10 and #6 Rounds. Other: Water container, Paper Towels, Palette.
