Description: In this workshop, we will explore the wonderful and unique qualities of watercolor, reinforcing techniques that let the paint do what it does best. We will experiment with allowing paints to blend on the paper. We will use the underpainting and subsequent glazing/layering to achieve luminous results. We will also examine the importance of value and learn how to generate rich darks that make a painting pop. In addition, we will examine issues includingg composition and breaking down the process into manageable steps. A photographic reference will be used and sent out ahead of time alone with a supply list.
Some watercolor experience is suggested.
