Date & Time: Sept 28 - Oct 2, 2015 (Mon-Fri) from 9am - 4pm each day.

Workshop Description:
This workshop will begin with a brief overview and introduction of the artist's background and his philosophy regarding painting and his work. You will be invited to introduce yourself and express your painting experience, as well as what you specifically want to achieve in this workshop.

Ted will also be giving daily painting demonstrations. Using a previously completed drawing, Ted will discuss his thinking process as he rendered the drawing and the purpose of contour drawing as a foundation for his paintings. As he moves forward with the demo he will discuss his painting methods and techniques. The demo will occupy 1-2 hours of the workshop each day.

For the balance of the day, Ted will interact with class participants - observing individual progress and assisting one on one as you work through your painting. Ted will attempt to get around to each class member as many times as possible during the day to answer your questions and help you with suggestions specific to your work.

The artist's goal is to create an atmosphere that is both creative and supportive, as well as enjoyable with hands on learning that will provide specific and memorable information each participant can take home and use in their work.

Ted Nuttall is signature member of the American Watercolor Society and National Watercolor Society. He is a figurative water colorist whose painting expression was born out of his observation of people, his experience and travels as an illustrator for the United States Air force, and a twenty-five year career in graphic design. His work as a designer, illustrator and fine artist has won numerous national and regional awards.

Ted teaches watercolor workshops in portraiture and figure painting for art leagues and organizations throughout the world. His workshops and private classes have been enjoyed by many who have benefited from his personal and insightful instruction.
