Janet Walsh, AWS, is an award winning artist and popular workshop instructor both in the United States and abroad. She is author of Watercolor Made Easy published in 1994 (RIWS has a copy of this book in their library).
Janet studied at the Arts Student League and the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Watercolor Magazine recently selected Janet as one of America’s top 20 Watercolor instructors. Throughout Janet’s painting career, she has received many awards and honors. In addition she has written many articles on still life painting for Watercolor Magazine. She was also invited to participate in the “Watercolor Master’s” Exhibition in Nanjing, China and in the first Shanghai Zhujiajiao International Biennial Exhibition. A painting is currently in The Third Invitational Exhibition of Contemporary International Watermedia Masters Traveling Exhibit in China. Her work has been widely published and exhibited and is in many corporate and private collections.
She has served 9 years as President of the American Watercolor Society, she is currently President Emeritus.
