Collage has many forms and styles which can make it quite an intimidating medium to work with. Donna and Karen have put the creative minds to work in order to produce representational art using paper as if it was paint. In this two day course, students will learn the basics of rendering, exploration of lost and found edges ,and creation of depth, all while using paper as a medium. These are all problems you solve in painting, so this course will teach you not only about collage but it is sure to inform your painting process as well. The paper allows you to create textures and patterns that would ordinarily be limited in other mediums besides collage. Come have fun exploring this versatile medium with us! All levels welcome.
